Colorful and unique. You won’t find another Corn Dolly like this one. She’s no shorty either! Most Corn Dollies you see are 6-8” long or you may get lucky and find a 12” Doll. These are a generous 20 inches long!

And yes, that is a Putka Pod Pumpkin she’s holding in her hands!

A Corn Dolly is a traditional European craft using Oats, Wheat, Barley or Rye. A Native American version would use Knotweed, Maygrass and Corn.

From my research, it seems that most cultures around the world had some sort of Harvest Doll or Good Harvest Charm.

These are used in celebration of the Harvest. They are thought to give the Spirit of the grain a home to live in over the fall and winter seasons.

The Ritual:

Hang these Corn Dollies in your home, anywhere you wish. By the door, is the traditional place for them. If you hang it outside on the front door for example, you may want to treat it with a natural essential oil blend to deter pests and bugs.

*** use caution, these are very fragile and mice love Putka Pods!
